Kannada Rajyotsava 2019
Karnataka, initially named as Mysuru and later named as Karnataka in 1973 is referred from the name “Karu-Nadu” which literally means “Elevated Land”. The land of Kannadigas which was formed on November 1st, 1956 is nothing but the portrayal of the pride and history of our valiant leaders who fought to unite and give an identity to the state that nobody will be able to forget for years to come. Thus, this day was celebrated since then as the Foundation Day of this sandalwood state. The Karnataka anthem is the perfect description of literary state composed by the Indian National Poet Kuvempu.
